Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 September 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
Afro Music Lab (“the Service”) is operated by Amy Molina Dappay (“we”, “us”, “the seller”). You can reach us at dappayamy@gmail.com. By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. The Service
Afro Music Lab is a browser-based music production studio for blending Afro, Caribbean and Latin genres. It provides a genre fusion console, sample editing, arrangement and automation tools, AI-assisted creative suggestions, mix analysis, and audio exports. It is delivered as a digital software subscription — no physical goods are shipped.
3. Accounts
You must be of legal age to enter a contract, or have the authority to bind the organisation you represent. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, keep your login credentials confidential, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
4. Licence and acceptable use
Subject to payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan. You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or abusive behaviour;
- upload or generate content that infringes another party’s intellectual property;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including malware, probing, penetration testing without consent, scraping or circumventing technical limits;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service or any part of it;
- share account credentials to give unpaid parties access to paid features.
5. AI-assisted features
Some features generate suggestions, analysis, text or arrangement ideas using AI models. You are responsible for the prompts, lyrics, audio and notes you submit, for having the rights to that input, for how you use the outputs, and for verifying their accuracy. Outputs may be inaccurate or unoriginal and should not be relied upon as professional, legal or financial advice. You must not use these features to produce illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, harassment, malware, or to attempt to bypass model safeguards.
We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts where content breaches these terms. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, email dappayamy@gmail.com and we will review and remove infringing material; repeat infringers lose access.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all ownership of the Service, including its software, audio engine, genre libraries, documentation, design and branding. You retain ownership of the audio, lyrics and project data you upload or create, and you grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
7. Payments, subscriptions and taxes
The Studio Membership is billed monthly at the price shown at checkout and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing area; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.
8. Service level
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change, and maintenance or third-party outages may cause downtime.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, you should export your projects; we may delete stored data after a reasonable period.
10. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not permit exclusion.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
12. Changes, assignment and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are excused from performance during events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the seller’s jurisdiction, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
